Hello,

I am running a Water Quality Model and encountered an error message " WQ TEM LOOKUP TABLE ERROR." Which input file do I need look at and how to fix this issue?

Thank you for your question,
The issue “WQ TEMP LOOKUP TABLE ERROR” happens when the temperature at the cells is out of the range of the “temperature lookup table” implemented in the Water Quality module of EFDC+ (i.e., -10 °C to 60 °C). In your model, the temperature issue is from the cells: I = 943, J = 56; I = 934, J =66; I = 174, J = 116; etc., as shown in the photo.
The temperature issue at those cells mostly comes from the wetting-drying process which is setup in the Shallow Water under the Hydrodynamics Module.
If you could take a photo of the Wetting and Drying Options and attach it here, so we could help you more.

Hi XiaoMeng,
Could you tell me which version of EFDC+ that you are using?
The issue is originally from hydrodynamic+temperature model, that some shallow cells get excessive heat during the simulation. But I think the issue was fixed in recent EFDC+ versions.
