I have been trying to simulate velocity field in a ocean body connected to a cooling water plant. Primary boundary conditions in the model are tidal water level data and the temperature variation in the intake and discharge locations. smallest element in the grid is approximately 10m x 10m and the largest is 8000m x 6000m, approx. While I am trying to run the model for 60 days period, I notice an abnormaliy high velocity at a corner element and the model eventually crushes at about 52 days. What might be the cause of this model behavior?

What is the time step you used for your model ? May be because of the time step your model crashed.
