I am trying to track nose of the salt wedge in density current for lock exchange problem. For it I need to track the movement of the front (nose) of the salt wedge. Is there a way to add drifters in EFDC_Explorer which moves along with the front (nose) of the density current and output the time series of the drifters which move along with the front of the density current in EFDC_Explorer?
Hi Max, Yes, this is quite simple in EE. See section 4.10.2 of the Users Manual as to how to use the Lagrangian Particle Transport (LPT) functionality. The drifters will follow the movement of the water in the density current and a time series will be created for the drifters. EE Users Manual
