I’m modeling a spillway on the EFDC, i’m interested on the scour phenomen downstream due to the high velocities but i don’t know how to restrict the degradation on my cells that represent my structure…
Is there any way that i can restrict to 0 the scour on my spillway without afecting my downstream sediment model results?
One suggestion is that you remove sediment from those cells by setting a zero thickness sediment layer – so there would be no sediment mass in those cells. You should note though that EFDC doesn’t allow supercritical flows.
