I figured out something which I thought worth sharing 
If you want to save your output data in text format you can do as below:
Go to View Grid/View Plan mode. Load your results, for example temperature in water column. Export data using ‘TP’ button at the top menu bar. It will prompt you for choosing time series. It saves data with X,Y, and the variable (temperature, velocity etc.). Though it saves data in .plt format but that can be opened with any text editor.
