How to modeling water temperature stratification in reservoir?
As in EFDC, the water layers are dynamic when the water level fluctuate. so, how to set the outflow site along the dam profile. How to judge the water temperature stratification accurately. Thanks!
If you need to specify a withdrawal when you have a lot of fluctuation in water level, it can be a tricky issue with sigma stretch grids such as EFDC. The flow rate being pulled out of different layers has to change with time. This can be done by means of pre-processing the QSER file for each layer so that it withdraws from each layer based on a time series depending on the fluctuation. We may automate this in a later release of EE but for now you will need to do it manually.
