I am trying to use EFDC to model for a small experimental set up. IN this experimental setup we are mixing oil with water to do some experiment. I don’t know whether we can use oil in EFDC or not ? Is there any paper out there in which authors have used oil as a liquid for the simulation ? I haven’t seen so far. Thanks for your reply.

Hi John,
EFDC is a single phase model, so it is not possible to simulate oil or multiple fluids at one time. It looks like your application would need a two phase fluid simulation model.
However, it is possible to use the Lagrangian Particle Tracking feature to simulate oil spill transport.
