Is it possible to 3-D simulate with submerged structures Dam or Weir?

Hello.

I’m trying to simulate a 3D hydraulic modeling with submerged structures in an open channel.

For example, the flow characteristics at the spill way varies. where there occurs uncontinuous flow, like sub critical flow, super critical flow, and transitional flow.

My question is, can EFDC model show the transitional flow? or is there any sample?

Super critical flow and hydraulic jumps are not correctly handled by EFDC. However, these scenarios can be simulated with the use of a rating curve or stage elevation relationship which will provide a simple look up table for EFDC.
