I used EE12 to simulate the hydrodynamics of a shallow lake and activated the temperature module with the appropriate settings before the simulation. In the water mass balance statistics, the precipitation and evaporation fluxes are displayed as extremely small values (e10^-7) and have no effect on the water balance or water level changes. Interestingly, I found that this small value increases over the duration of the simulation, as if it is participating in the model’s iterative calculations. What could be the reason for this result?

The mass balance values of Raillfall and Evaporation are calculated from the rainfall and evaporation data series from the aser.inp file that you have assigned to the model, this mass balance value changes slightly because the values of rainfall and evaporation are small during the period you calculate.

Note the simulated period was a entire hydrological year, I found evaporation and precipitation fluxes were accounted in the water balance calculation and had a effect on the water level change. However, the returned mass balance results showed a “mass error” due to the wrong statistics in the magnitudes of Pre and Eva. I wonder if there are some bugs in the EE12?
