Floating overflow Layer Error

Hi EFDC users,

I would like to ask if any of you have encountered the “floating overflow” error when adding water layers?
If only one layer will be utilized, EFDC seems to run well, but if i will change the number of layers to 4, floating overflow error.

Thank you and all your comments will be appreciated.

Hi Armi,

I dont think this is an error. When you increase your water layers, you have to also decrease your time step. It is very important, otherwise your model will not run as your observed. Do some more tests and you might choose a good time step for your own model.
