Dear EFDC team and users： It was found that efdc has a module supporting velocity limiting factor, which can consider the effect of shear force on algae growth. But I didn’t find any relevant adjustment parameters in efdc this afternoon. I wonder where I can adjust these parameters.

Thank you for your question. EE8.5 does not yet have option to specify this value in the user interface. We will look to include it in later releases of EE. The MACALGMP.INP file is used to set this value in the WQKMV column so you can set it manually. Note that this velocity limiting factor is only used for macroalgae/macrophytes, or stationary algae, and the file is created when you turn on macroalgae from the kinetics computation options under Global Kinetic Options.
